What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever found (and kept)?
I was speaking during a team meeting when a colleague turned around to look at my screen and smile.
“Did I say something wrong?”, I wondered. I hadn’t cracked a joke. I was just talking about the order in which we would do our individual updates.
Teams randomly arranges names on the screen for attendees. It turned out he was trying to figure out where he was on the list by looking at my screen.
That made me realise how we’re all thinking about ourselves first in social interactions. We spend so much time worrying about what others think about us when they are focused on themselves.
While I’m yet to discover a cool object waiting to be discovered, a new perspective can change your approach to life.
